Tafseer Al Qur’an Surah Al Kahf Verse 24 According to the book Tafsir Jalalain:
اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ يَّشَآءَ اللّٰهُ (Except [when adding], “If Allah wills.”) means to exclude it by determining it to Allah’s will for example you say Insha Allah, وَاذۡكُرْ رَّبَّكَ (and remember your Lord) namely to His will While relying on His will – اِذَا نَسِيۡتَ (If you forget) This means if you Remember forgetting his will, the same as remembering his will when he said it. Al-Hasan and others said, once again someone was still in his assembly- وَقُلۡ عَسٰٓى اَنۡ يَّهۡدِيَنِ رَبِّىۡ لِاَقۡرَبَ مِن ۡ هٰذَا (and say, “Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this) namely the news about Ashabul Kahf to show the truth my prophethood- رَشَدًا (to right conduct) is a more correct guidance, and indeed Allah allows this.
