What are the parts that make up the nucleus?
The nucleus is surrounded by a nuclear membrane and contains chromatin, chromosomes, one or two nucleoli, and nucleoplasm. The nucleus is located in the center of the cell where the nuclear membrane that encloses the nucleus consists of two layers of membrane, as a barrier to the surrounding cytoplasm.
The cell membrane is composed of lipoproteins and pores, where the pores allow several kinds of substances to pass through both from the nucleus to the cytoplasm and vice versa. In the nucleus, some chromosomes contain DNA which is the blueprint for the formation of various proteins, especially enzymes. The cell nucleus (nucleus) functions to control cell activities, namely activities that occur in the cytoplasm.
