قَيِّمًا لِّيُنۡذِرَ بَاۡسًا شَدِيۡدًا مِّنۡ لَّدُنۡهُ وَيُبَشِّرَ الۡمُؤۡمِنِيۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ الصّٰلِحٰتِ اَنَّ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرًا حَسَنًا
Latin inscription: Qoyyimal liyundziro ba’san syadidan min ladunhu wa yubasysyirol mu’miniina alladzina ya’maluunash sholihaati anna lahum ajron hasanan
Translation: [He has made it] straight, to warn of severe punishment from Him and to give good tidings to the believers who do righteous deeds that they will have a good reward (Al Qur’an Surah Al Kahf Verse 2)
Interpretation (Tafseer) of the Qur’an Surah Al Kahf Verse 2 According to the book of Tafsir Jalalain
قَيِّمًا (As a straight path) straight guidance, lafadz qoyyiman becomes the second thing from the lafadz al-Kitab above, and at the same time confirms the first meaning – لِيُنْذِرَ (to warn) to frighten unbelievers with the Qur’an – بَاْسًا (will be tormented) there will be doom – شَدِيْدًا مِّنْ لَدُنْهُ (very harsh from His side) from Allah وَيُبَشِّرَ الۡمُؤ ۡمِنِيۡنَ الَّذِيۡنَ يَعۡمَلُوۡنَ الصّٰلِحٰتِ اَنَّ لَهُمۡ اَجۡرًا حَسَنًا (and give good news to those who believe in doing good deeds that they will get a good response).
